its been a while since i last blogged, 20 days to be precise. and man, alot of things can indeed happen in 20 days. this morning i realised that my house door bell's been changed, my eating utensils changed and the cold storage where i got all my snacks from has been revamped. even the neighbourhood mama shop's got a new look. everything's changing, whether its for the better, well i definitely hope so.
but nonetheless, its feels helluva great to be back home. the rapturous applause that resonated round me when our plane touched down ytd night probably echoed the same sentiments. =) wallaby is definitely an experience i must say, mixed with good and bad. but i guess its the bad that made the good shine even more. when i was back in the cp facing hundreds of crabs a day (not forgetting the shining one star), fretting over when i will ever be free of the clutches of the [*]. it was the people around that made my 11-day outfield better. people like ken, whom served the [*] no.1 guy while i served the no.2, helping me to temporarily convert to become a pa, people like chiam and naresh, whom we talk cock together just so that time passes faster, the 1 nsmen whom gave me thoughtful advice for my future, staff [*] who is ever helpful, not forgetting my OC and MAJ [*], whom tried to help me so that i can do my job smoother. many thanks to them.
the R&R, though shortlived, but was rather enjoyable in my opinion. rocky's not like other metropolitan australian cities, but rather its surrounded by beautiful sceneries of series of mountains, plains, pinetree forests and also the vast boundless sea. i cant forget the feeling of standing at one of rocky's highest mountains, gazing down at the awesome view beneath my feet. its breathtaking. went for the heritage tour at some tourist hotspot, whether we get to ride horses and feed lambs, view their vintage buildings and automobiles. its qt enjoyable, especially with the company of the platoon. some of the guys visited the strip joint at night. i din go, but im not sure if i regretted it. =P but i definitely regretted getting wasted after the boys returned and the specs started playing games and drinking. the tequila was totally disgusting in my opinion. will never touch another shot again. i guess i will drink less in future. although i was still clear minded, but the feeling is terrible. so the advice is: dun drink unless necessary.
shall try to post some photos when i get hold of them. meanwhile its time to plan for the upcoming break. first stop: the ocs commissioning parade. hopefully the newly grads will become a good officer, treating their men with respect and not treat them like dirt. though majority of the officers in the army's fcuked up, i certainly hope they will follow their senior's footsteps to become an arrogant, incompetent, wayang bastard whom abuse their ranks and think they are all so almighty. heard that, marc and eugene? always keep the 7th core value in mind.
