today was an inspiring day for me, and a milestone for the chinese high school (or rather hwa chong institution) chinese orchestra. in the syf central judging today, an outstanding performance by tchsco defied all odds to claim the second gold with honours in the competition.. well done my juniors.. yu all wrote a new chapter in tchsco history =] we are all proud of yu!
in addition, today is the first time i managed to catch dunman high co in syf action. it was really an eye-opener and a real lesson which i've learnt. dunman high was once again one of those touted to get gold with honours and they indeed did not disappoint their supporters. dunman's taifeng was indeed natural and smooth, and mr quek was really charismatic as a conductor. the whole hall is silent as they watch in anticipation for the legendary dhsco to perform. wah wad a sight. this really spurred me on to improve on my taifeng and control so as to produce my best on may 3rd. however such things must be a group effort and there were comments within ourselves that the various sections are still not up to standard yet. =X about 10 more days to go. max 7 practices. really intense for us leh. time is running out. but i know that given determination we can do it cos we have the capability. hcco, lets emulate the feat that our juniors did! 3rd may. the stage is ours. jiayou!
