well guess the highlight of the day was li jia wei's olympics semis. well it was a close fight i guess. it was all up to the mentality in the end. i guess we shouldnt feel too upset about it, instead we should be proud that she had come this far in the tournament. also i dun think the media and press is right in placing such high hopes on our atheletes, causing many pple to be very disappointed in the end (my sis for eg) and also creating too much pressure for them to do well. i feel that as long they display the fighting spirit in their games we should be proud of them regardless the results. finally there is still a chance for bronze, so all the best to li jia wei in greece =]
anw today helped the alumni to carry the instruments from the lt2 all the way to the swimming pool area on the other side. was a very tiring process, with just me wendy n ZHIYONG! carrying 3 trolleys full of instruments uphill den downhill. really that difficult u may say. just try it yourself. nic was rite i guess. why should we even help the alumni when they dun even give us a say in such an important issue as to renaming the school. wads more the alumni members at the swimming pool seem so hostile to us, talking to themselves rather than helping us open the door. cant even do such a simple gesture. haix. last time during the helpout for the alumni choir concert also the same. they simply think becos they are the elders they have the right to not treat us with equal respect. so much abt huazhong jingshen. anw i still cant get over the renaming issue, but guess there is not much of a choice left. shall try to buy a fac shirt of each fac as a memorable. =[
